This script is an evening of short plays selected from the below around the theme. The plays that appear in TDEW are: Meta, Misplaced, Information, Inside Job, Lunch Break, Clover, Railbirds and The Stream.

TEN(ish) MINUTE PLAYS
All plays are about 10 minutes except “Interrogation” which is about 15.

A Gift from God
4 actors - 2M, 1F, 1 of any gender. Comedy.
A paleolithic man and woman appeal to God to bring food to their starving village.

Back in the School
2 actors – 1M, 1F
Are school reunions just for getting it on? And is that so wrong?

Clover
5 actors, any gender. Comedy.
Zarmaz and Gargadon are captured by huge ape-like creatures on their first away mission to a planet called “Earth.” (Produced under the title "First Contact" at Diez Minutos in Mexico)

Information
2 actors – 1M, 1F, Drama

Inside Job
3 actors – 1M, two of any gender. Drama.
An underground poker game is robbed, but by whom?

Interrogation
4 actors – 1 M (must play an Egyptian Coptic), 3 of any gender. Satire.
It's important to give terrorists fair trials as long as we're sure they will be convicted.

Historical play about Jesse Littleton Broyles aka “Raleigh's Peanut Man.” Commissioned by Burning Coal Theatre and Oakwood Cemetery.

Polite Society
2 Actors – 1M, 1F. Drama
Historical play based on the murder of Ludlow Skinner by Earnest Haywood on Fayetteville St in Raleigh, February 22, 1903. Commissioned by Burning Coal Theatre and Oakwood Cemetery.

Railbirds
3 actors - 2M, 1F, Drama.
At the horse track, sometimes you need a long shot to come in.

The Stream
3 actors - 2M, 1F, Drama.
A short play about love, death, and letting go.

UPSIE
3 actors – 3M, Satire.
During the cold war, only bombs could make us safe.
